The plants and the creepers,
They are friends and family
The birds’ harmonies,
A gathering of their melodies.

I relish there the scent of solitude;
Neither virtue or sin enter my body.
The skies my canopy, the earth my throne,
My mind dwells and plays there, joyful.

A quilt of rags, an ascetics’ waterpot
Are enough to tend to my body;
The nature of the breeze
Will tell me the times and seasons.

To be fed on the stories of Hari,
Be nurtured by nature’s discourse,
To serve you in this nature
Is indeed something to savor!
